A wonderful analogy Dennis. One that can be easily understood by all. Thank you for the reminder of the real importance of the story. It does get lost sometimes.
I greatly appreciate you sharing your faith.

Blessings
Janet

I like your analogy, using Pinnochio to illustrate your point that "What Pinocchio had to strive for was the REWARD of physical life.

What God has provided...life, true life, is a GIFT, ours by simply believing the living Word of God."
Just a comment:
"God gives life, not to wooden people, but to dead people with hearts of stone."
This is not quite right. God gives life to all who believes in him, not just people with hearts of stone.

Emphasis on "give" assuming the transformation of heart inherent in believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ died for all men while they were in their sins with hearts of stone. The gift of the Son breaks the heart of stone. God bless, Dennis

Hi,
This is a very good story analogy
for those that do not know JESUS
It is very easy to understand the principles
involved. I hope that it touches those that have yet to discover our LORD
Best regards,
K River

Thanks for this piece, Deniz; I like your take on the Pinnochio story. The metaphor of 'wooden' people 'coming to life' through salvation is a good one, and something I hadn't thought of before. Good work, I enjoyed reading it.
God bless,

Ever since Adam and Eve ate the fruit and were turned out of the Garden of Eden, man has sinned. It is a condition of being human that man sins. It is the knowledge that God has sent His Son to provide help for sinners that help balance the society we live in. Sincerely Anne.

Excellent point about the Pinochio story, he became a real boy. We can become real people in Christ by following Him and having a relationship with Him. I like your point about eternal life, we can move forward from our wooden selves and become alive in Christ.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Deniz22: well written stories about life. One is a piece of carved and painted wood. Yes, even Trump got the honor of being portrayed as this Pinocchio. I agree that so many people have fallen into a pit. Only Jesus can give us gifts of free grace. I pray for the world and people to know the saving grace of Jesus. Great witness and point!

We are expecting a snow blizzard this weekend. I'm going bake some blizzard bread and share with friends. May we all have joy and divine love! flylikeaneagle

Deniz22: I like your messages and witness. Thank you and so glad you are on this site, my BIC. I am working on my second novel about love of the Lord outside the steeple. Go light your world is the theme song...be a candle, go into the darkness, light your world... see on utube. God bless you! nancy

Thank you for sharing this reminder about God's plan for us. It is only through our belief in His son, Christ, that we have a promise of Heaven.

Sharing your deep faith is a welcome change to some of the posts found on Fan Story. I enjoyed reading your work.

"God gives life, not to wooden people, but to dead people with hearts of stone."

What an amazing truth of His love.
I love the way you have taken not only a childhood, worldly, moral story and used it to lead into a more important, more valuable lesson about human nature and God's nature. Thank God his love is a gift, not a right earned.

And thank Him too that He has given you the gift to craft an emotional, spiritual story through His word and yours too!

''Many seem to believe Christianity teaches a kind of Pinocchio theology. It's generally believed people are motivated by promises of immortality to be good.
Truth be told, most think they have a head start on being good, only needing a little sprucing up here and there.'
I truly believe this after having my faith mocked today the person said I only try to be good for a 'reward' ie' Heaven. It doesn't shake my faith but makes it stronger. A wonderful piece very well written, Meia :)
