I think we all want to leave a legacy when we die. I just hope people don't think back on me and say, "She was such a bitch"...or maybe I do want them to say that. lol. Death will come one day, for each and everyone of us. Hopefully, we can make our life count.

This is sage advice given in your lovely poem. I did notice two things you might want to change - first, although many publishers don't do it, here, on FanStory, separating into stanzas encourages more reviews, and secondly, a little grammar correction is needed:

"...don't grieve for those (who) stay behind..." - 'that' is used for inanimate objects or animals

A beautiful poems with such good flowmand fineness. Thes are my favourite 'think of life and what it's been
remember now the things we've seen
and take those thoughts along with you
and death won't differ from what we knew ,
as this life has come to pass
life in death shall always last'

Have a nice day

This is a gentle way to comfort those who fear death. I like the strong start of the poem which presents death as simply part of life and urges the reader to "own" it. But I believe in an immortal soul that continues life beyond physical death and beyond human memory. But I do appreciate the consoling encouragement in this poem.

Amen. I like the line, 'life in death', as I don't believe in death, but in a journey, from this life to the next. Let us leave good memories, blessings...

A thought provoking piece. We shall live on in someone's memory is a sobering message. One I hope is a kind and benevolent one.
Very well done. I appreciate the sentiment.

Blessings

This has a great, skipping, tripping rhythm to it, in the meter and rhyme scheme. it really hops and skips along. Maybe it could use some images to brighten it up, a metaphore we can relate to or internalize in our own experience estory

' so think of this and where we are
and if we need they won't be far
as in their memory death won't come
so journey now and fear for none
as this life has come to pass
life in death shall always last .'
What a wonderful, absorbing and illuminating poem, this is utterly fabulous, kindest regards Meia x

Hi friend, first thank you for the great rating of six stars. I do appreciate it very much.

I like the strong stance you took about death. Yes you are right, it will come whether we want it or not. The fear is not in dying itself but in what one has done of oneself before dying.
The more unruly we are to others and the world, the greater the burden we need to take with us. The good has nothing to fear.death is as real as life, except the fact that we do not know where we are going and what is to happen to us there, makes it a terrifying reality. Just live and die quietly. Who cares who remembers me after I am gone?

Thank you for your excellent review, if (death is as real as life, your words) do you care if people remember you or your efforts now?****kahpot

I really enjoyed this piece. Its flow and rhyme were flawless. Even though it is about death, it had a great sing along to it which was enjoyable. It sure made me think about death in a different way. Thanks so much for sharing.
