Ulla,

You're so right! All those snowflakes pile up and create a lush white carpet that IS a winter's dream. You've created a wonderful - chilly - image in just 14 syllables. Great job!

Beautiful imagery here. I especially like the internal rhyme - down/ground - and the sibilance of the repeated 's' sounds, which is sometimes the sound of a soft snowfall.

I have to say that I would love for us to have some snow. I'm thinking about turning on the air conditioner - and it's February!!

Thanks for writing!

Thank you so much. We don't get snow here either in this part of Spain where I live, and I'm glad. I'm not a winter person at all, although I'm Danish. I love and thrive in warm weather. Thanks again. I'm glad you liked my wee poem. All the best. Ulla:)))

Hi Ulla,
this is a beautifully descriptive haiku. I like the first two lines linking so well together, and you have managed to portray the season in each of the three lines with a stunning satori that most people can relate to.
Well done Brenda:))x

A very well-written haiku. The best part of winter is to see how the snowflakes flutter down to earth and pack on the surface to bring us hours of joy, except for the cold.

Outstanding haiku, Ulla. You picked the perfect artwork for your presentation too. You are really very good at these haikus. Perhaps do more of them. I liked this line the best::

"softly down on frosted ground"

Bravo! Good job. Bob

Winter is bringing magical colour of cool white to paint the nature for us. It sits on slender trees and bushes with flowers so dry. Your haiku is brilliant and beautifully put together. Excellent work, Ulla. With love, Ella

Ella, I've suddenly realised I haven't answered this wonderful review and you giving me those lovely stars. I simply don't know how that can have happened. It's a first. You must think I'm a very callous person. I'm so sorry and at the same time so pleased with the praise. I do hope you can forgive me. A hug. Ulla:xx

Sorry, I meant to give you a 5. Excellent work with this haiku. The first two sentences connect perfectly and the satori is spot on. I love these challenges. I enjoy reading them. keep up the great work.
