This contest entry brought tears to my eyes. I am a baker. I grew up with bakers. I have an OLD cookbook that has writing to add too or change recipes that the newer cookbook don't have in them. I understand about these old recipes. I am so glad your uncle got to eat teacakes. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Yes, Barbara, I am so glad my uncle got to eat teacakes for the first time in I don't know when. Thank you for your generous, six star review. You should write your own baking story. Thanks again, and thank you for wishing me success in the contest.

I am so glad you mastered the teacake. Teacakes In Australia are more like a fruit bun with coconut icing on top sprinkled with coconut

Yes, Mrs Happy Poet, while I hated teacakes as a kid, I love them now as an adult because they remind me of my family heritage. I saw a so-called teacake today at a coffee shop, but it had so much frosting on it, Uncle Lee would never approve. Thank you for your review.
