I loved your 5-7-5 poem which you adhered to the rules. I loved your choice of photo. I had forgotten about potpourri. It keeps autumn with us a little longer.
Best of luck
Marybell1.

Really enjoyed this 5-7-5 about Autumn. You have painted such a lovely picture of falls colours and smells and the last line....Autumns potpourri is just wonderful.
Have a lovely evening

A very well-written contest entry. The words flowed and combined well creating an image of Autumn this was a creative approach using smell with the color. I think you have completed the challenge very well.

Zanya, this is a great Ode to Autumn. I love how
two senses - sight and smell - are interlinked.
Fantastic end line to conclude with a vibrant and
beautiful picture. Excellent work. ~DD

Good luck in the contest!

Your short, but sweet, poem reminds us of the beauty of autumn. I especially loved the last line. It is pleasant to think of the fallen leaves as potpourri.

You've managed to put a great deal of alliteration into so few words. Thank you for sharing,
~patty~

A great composition and you have painted a vivid picture in so few words. All my senses were alive and I could hear the 'crisp russet red leaves' and smell the 'potpourri'. Very nicely done. Susan
