Hi Patricia, this is a very creative idea to take the poem from another writer and turn it into a story. I felt like I was reading about my life in a way, but maybe it was the name. LOL

I have never heard of this form of writing before; taking another's poem and creating a story. Does it have it's own name or is it something you have created?

A well-written short story. your words flowed well and the story moved right along from beginning to end. The mother and the daughter both knew what they wanted and I am glad they tried hard to achieve it.

The story didn't excite or give me that much detail about the father. I wanted to hear more. And you don't need to say that Beverly is the mother twice. But the story was ok.
