Fun poem. Wandering about at night, dancing with the moon. I love the images of flying and dreaming, as if the two are inextricably paired. I also like the use of Conquistador - what a great rhyme find for 'before'! I wonder, though, about the 'an' at the start of that line (should it be 'a').

Luna, Mickey would be proud of this one, for I am quite proud of it. This is more than "just a poem." Your galaxy metaphors always work well to convey your message.
You might want to consider re-formatting the third stanza to read as follows:
of captivating nights for me
with Luna at the helm;
directing dreams of wit and glee
outside the earthly realm.
