There is magic in the ever-changing skyscape of clouds and you give us its essence here in your lovely poem. I have always been fascinated by clouds, their ever-changing shapes, and all their different forms, signalling different weather patterns.

Awww yes. On a quilt in the grass looking for images in the clouds on a hot summer day. It is a great pass time for those of us with artistic urges. I did enjoy those days as well, still do. In the picture I see a bird flying just above the bottom set of clouds in the center of the picture. A very well written poem Janet. Kudos. Nancy

Your poem evokes memories of lazy summer days when clouds float by taking on delightful shapes. Yes, I agree with your description that clouds are a, "moving masterpiece". This poem is an enjoyable read today.

The clouds can be very intriguing. There is always something interesting to see when they start to puff up like cotton wool and we can dream to play within the skies.

But have you looked at them from both sides now? Sorry couldn't resist that one. They are indeed and you catch their magic well here in these. perfectly metered iambic tetrameters
I could be wrong in this but I think you are doing the wondering at the the clouds doing their wand'ring.
"If I could keep these wond'ring clouds" ???

Back to the basics of simple words that create a mountain , so shall we view, as too, stand and take in the beautiful imagery this offers.
Not a complex write, nor should it be. just a breath of fresh air.
Lovely JM.
My last six to you, dear friend.
A write of beautiful simplicity...the way it should be.
Best wishes.

Each cloud a moving masterpiece
like murals sketched upon the sky.
Their edges curl and drift in flight --
on breaths of God -- they dare to fly.
GOSH! this reads like a beautiful, moving prayer. I loved this. SO beautifully joyful and imaginative, an amazing piece and very much enjoyed by me, a stunning poem well done kind regards Meia x

Janet,
What a lovely idea! -- A poem about clouds! I think we all used to lie back and stare up at clouds as kids and look for animals in their surfaces. What fun. Now, we're farrrr too busy being grown-ups~! *smile*
One potential suggestion?
1.) If I could keep these (wand'ring) clouds
Thanks!
