Excellent poem about the praying mantis, one of my favorite insects. I have a poem in my portfolio about one. You have an excellent play on words, love the line "for his last supper".

Dear BB, reminds me of watching Planet Earth with the kids and seeing something like you just penned happen there on the screen. Nature is as beautiful as it is mysterious. Loved your last line, leaves the poem open ended as you wonder what ate him:)

a well-written haiku club challenge poem.Praying Mantas are such cool insects. I love to watch them. They change color easily and are always on the hunt for other insects. I enjoyed your poem.
