OMG, this is f.a.n.t.a.s.t.i.c!! I really love dragonflies and recently did a little research into their life cycle when my grandson and I were being buzzed by a persistent one in the park. It's pretty dismal. Six months at best. 24 hours at worst. Most are fodder for birds.

After reading your Haiku, I wonder if the CIA was involved in our buzzing! LOL...

Wonderful in presentation too!

Yes, Mary, I will never look at dragonflies the same again. Thank you for your fantastic, six star review.

This did make me laugh. I can imagine some young men buying a drone for this and getting an eye full lol. This is a well-written poem and I enjoyed reading it. thank you for sharing.

The nude sunbather appears to be attracting the dragonfly more than male onlookers. LOL.
I like the satori, the way the poet compares the dragonfly to a drone, an inanimate object on surveillance. Witty.

Awk! Well done haiku in the traditional form. Also funny. You gotta wonder, who will do all the watching why, and if it were me sunbathing, would they be able to see after washing their eyes out with bleach. ;-D. All the best.

Yes, kathleenspalding, it's a wonder who will be doing all of the watching with these drones. Thank you for your review.

I liked both your poem and notes friend, the road forward as far as technology is concerned is a scary one but one we must travel unfortunately. I enjoyed the humour of your haiku Sis Cat

Thank you, Hitcher, for your review. My haiku caught me off guard. I wrote it in September when I saw a dragonfly hover over me during my jog and I mused, "Wouldn't it be cool if the dragonfly was a drone spying on me?" It was only Sunday when I looked for a picture to accompany my haiku did I learn that dragonfly drones exist. What I thought was a humorous haiku now takes on an ominous air. Thank you for your review.

I think the future of drones can be a really eye-opener for all us. Just like your haiku verse is. Well-written in perfect form. My son tells me about how these objects of flight will be the new delivery system to households with special drop chute openings in the roofs of our homes.

Yes, Doc, the future of drones will be eye-opening for all of us. I was just reading today about a sniper who killed five police officers in Dallas last summer. They were able to kill him by sending in a drone to leave a bomb. The sniper became the first person killed on American soil by a drone. We do not know what other drones that law enforcement, the military, and our spy agencies may have. Thank you for your review.

I thought your poem was very creative. Lying on the beach, those dragonflies hovering above do seem like drones (although I've never done the nude beach thing). Interesting author notes. Something else to worry about. Very well written. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, RightPics, for your review. I love dragonflies. I would have to question whether or not one is real, filming, ot recording me. Thank you for your review of my "very creative" poem.

An excellent and contemporary haiku
I think it would have been better without the picture
as it gave away the clever satori line
I think privacy will be much compromised in the future
Excellent imagery and connection in the first two lines
Well done

Thank you, rspoet, for your review and suggestions that the haiku be posted without a picture of a dragonfly drone. I wrote my haiku last September when I did not know such drones exist. I originally was going to post a picture of a real dragonfly with my haiku. Out of curiosity, I entered a search for "dragonfly drone" and was shocked at what I discovered. Thanks again.

LOL - you put a whole new twist on the dragonfly. This is well done, actually. Great and surprising moment of insight in you satori. Good author's notes

Yes, Doug, no one is more surprised than myself. I wrote this last September when a dragonfly hovered over me during my jog and I wondered, "Wouldn't it be cool if it was a drone?" Only when I searched for a picture to accompany my haiku months later did I discover that dragonfly drones exist. Thank you for your humorous review.

It is very funny. The coincidence is only a sign that great minds think alike.

Very nicely done. I see you have received well-deserved accolades. Good on you!

Thank you, Ingrid, for your generous review. I was surprised to discover that dragonfly drones are real. I could not have written this haiku as it is now if I knew the drones exist. I was just using my imagination. Thanks again.
