and a SOMO
What a hell rising find!!! Like the parasitic wasp used in greenhouses to rid of aphids but they are much tinier. biologicals. They have the most barbaric ways to kill and reproduce. I was wondering what the heck was in the photo, I thought a beetle of some kind. they certainly are crammed into that section.
Great imagery with scent, not so good with my breakfast. lol

lulube love your notes

Hi friend, acually I have never heard of this kind of wasp, although I have been stung by wasps before. There is horrid things happening even in animal or insect kingdoms. Thank you so much for the information.

This is a pretty interesting take on the natural in haiku, a look at the darker side of nature. the last line really sums it up Fetid Feng Shui. It takes all that meditative energy and transforms it into death supporting life. A unique kind of look at that roll of death in our lives, in nature, this poem leaves us thinking estory

Yikes - that is some twisted construction project those wasps have going on. I can see why you're drawn to them. Fascinating author's notes. And a great poem and satori to boot. Fetid feng shui, indeed!

I was trying to get my head on straight. I thought I had already reviewed this poem! But then, I thought maybe you showed it to us in TS? Anyway, I know I've seen it before. But, hey! You're paying me .82 to tell you again that I liked it a lot, so I'm good with that! haha! I don't know where you came up with this one, but it's really cool!

BTW, love the profile pic! Very cool!

Hahaha, yes, I did ask the club's opinions on the content of the poem, Robyn. You're absolutely right about that.
Of course I do so because I value the opinions of our members, and I welcome any suggestions our club members might have for improvements before posting.
Thanks so much for checking it out again, LOL.

Hi Dean,

Great job with this one. no one writes alliterative haiku as well as you do. Love the use of feng-shui in the final line.

Have you misspelt haiku (haiku)or is this an alternative spelling?

All the best
G

Yes, it is an alternate spelling, G-Man.
I'm surprised you knew that... LOL
No, of course I spelled it wrong.
I'm always good for at least one error, it seems.
Thanks for pointing it out, it's been corrected.

Oh Dean! LOL! I leaned back as your art loaded because I really thought that something was going to somehow be like 3 D and come toward me. Spiders invaded, or took over this house as it was empty for almost two years and we're still spraying! I have a pix of one I killed in our barn just a week ago! IN FEBRUARY??? I had to use a hammer on it. I don't know how to post pix here from my phone. Wish you could see it. ANYway. Your poem is great, but I don't think a spider is good feng shui? Not for me anyway! Wow...:)

Wasps of any kind can be a nuisance, Susan. I was stung on several occasions last summer by a particularly pesky bunch who insisted on constructing a nest in my mailbox.
When I'd reach in to grab the mail...POW!!!, right on the fingers!
This happened three times after I had completely destroyed each nest in succession.
I finally learned to look before reaching, LOL.
    Thanks for the awesome review.
    Take care,
    ~Dean :}

I doubt there has ever been a more alliteration-filled haiku written in the history of mankind, but it makes this very interesting, unique and readable. It flows beautifully and has a hearty dose of humor to boot. I enjoyed it, and also your educational author notes. Thanks for the information. MM

You might be surprised to learn just how many alliterative haiku there are on various sites all over japan and elsewhere, Adonna.
It is by reading the haiku on these sites, many of them award winning, that I came to realize it's okay to use it myself.
    Thanks for the review.

A fine haiku...quite grisly! How horrible, this new wasp. I hate spiders, but even I couldn't make them legless victims, eaten alive. Smash 'em and kill 'em quickly, ha ha. Decorating with the dead. Gruesome, but some people seem to do that, living in the past. There's a poem in here somewhere...wonderful as always, blessings...

Another brilliant one, Dean. You seem to be in a "vicious animal" Haiku phase. It doesn't surprise me that something like the bone-house wasp would intrigue you.
