MMMMM - somehow I forgot to review this one. I do like it. I think the satori is really strong. I would give this one my vote to get into the anthology

Yikes, that is rather disgusting, Dean. Nature is a wondrous place and how clever of her to remove the legs so it can't escape. You couldn't make up that kind of horror. Well, I suppose, you could.Lol. A wonderful haiku. I love it. Great addition to the book. All the best. Ulla:))

Yes..THAT'S one bad ass Momma! It's a great post with an even better note. Amazing to read how these tiny bugs seem to think. I wonder how they actually think? Thanks for posting this.

Yikes! One bad ass Momma indeed. I always learn something new from your musings. A bone house wasp is one creepy wasp. I don't like spiders but.....
Very well done Dean.
Blessings

Yikes. Even a spider shouldn't have to go out that way. Oh, right - he's not 'going' anywhere. A delightfully horrid description of the bone-house wasp -
Wasps are very creepy critters. They kill, they eat fresh and fetid meat, and love to tear the wings right off of bees. Not nice, but a very necessary part of nature's clean up crew.
Nice use of short-long short in your haiku, and a brilliant, but cringe worthy closing line.
Rose.

C R E E P Y!
But GREAT "digest-ization" of the topic at hand in haiku format! (as if
wasps aren't nightmarish enough!!!!)
We love nature when she is all decked out in her finery. . .but (shudder)
turn a blind eye to her gruesome villainy, don't we?
Well done Dean - definitely memorable! :-)

Yes, sometimes we have to I think, Lorraine.
You know, just to keep our sanity?
Thanks for the review.

Hey, don't mention it, Louise.
I've helped many readers to diet involuntarily, LOL.

I love this haiku, Dean.
It is quite creative and I get some really vivid imagery while reading it.
You also have beautiful alliteration in each line.
This is a wonderful haiku, just beautiful.

I am sorry to hear that. I don't have any faith in them either but I have entered a bunch of them. I just want to challenge myself to write other things especially since I am devoting so much time to haiku and now tanka.
Great photo, I love the special effects!
