A very well-written editorial. Why are the Postal Services always in financial trouble is hard to understand, they always get subsidies from governments, the employees sleep half of the day behind their counters, and the costs of postage and rental of post boxes escalate each year. We have the same problems in our country.

Thanks.
Good question about why the USPS is always in financial trouble.

I myself have always been a fan of the US Post Office. I have always been greeted by kind smiling employees. I almost wanted to become one. Thank goodness that never happened. With the internet and texting, these poor people. Once I wrote over 100 Christmas cards a year. Now, maybe ten. I still buy stamps because certain bills I like to or have to pay the old fashioned way. Also I send thank you cards to my clients. Sometimes I have a package to send. It happens. Anyway, I would miss not having a post office and how on earth will I get all those bills every day? Oh wait! The heck with mail!.

If the USPS could just keep itself out of constant financial difficulties it would be much better off.
