Love this play on an old familiar saying, Food for thought. the photo is great, they certainly do look as if they are feasting heavily, devouring, great choice of word.
good work

Lovely haiku with just the right artwork.

Those little beetles just go right on eating and don't see it as destruction the way we do.

I like "Food without thought."

This is an amazing haiku.
I get a very clear concrete image. These insects, consuming the flowers destroying their beauty while they munch away. "food without thought" is an excellent satori, it is a perfect picture of their mindless activity.
Well done.

Great imagery, Teresa, and just love your satori. Devoured is the perfect word to describe their feeding habits. Great haiku.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

LOL - on BOTH sides of the equation! ;-)

'tis pure instinct that drives them both - Mother Nature's signature
modus operendi -

No thought given,
no thoughts sought;
merely driven

. . .mutually beneficial
(at least in the species long run)

:-)

Hahaha! What a clever haiku, Teresa - I just LOVE the satori. Yes, those thoughtless insects, eating a flower. At LEAST they could go after a weed. This is a wonderful contribution to the book.

I know, right. Let them be useful and eat the weeds! Thanks so much Dawn.
