Given the way he's lived his life, The Donald's credentials as a Christian are questionable. No matter what that 1954 law says, ministers still speak from the pulpit trying to influence the way people vote. I think separation between church and state should be maintained. When the government steps in and tries to tell some faith-based organization that they have to do something that violates their principles, I think that's against the separation of church and state. It can be a complicated issue. Interesting and informative series you have going. judi

A very well-written editorial. Religion and politics don't mix well. Our church leaders never mention anything to do with politics in the sermons, and they will not encourage us to partake in protests. We are actually encouraged to pray for the country's leaders to be lead by God, instead of bring rebellious about all the mistakes he make.

I love the fact you've opened this up to discussion. Most who leave an opinion on this site in prose or poetry state this is their opinion and they don't want others to say anything contrary to it. I get that, but don't open yourself to controversy by others on this site by giving your viewpoint.
You have not done this. You encourage others. That being said, I'm not familiar enough with this matter to give any opinion other than empowering any group to speak is what this country is all about. Other groups can say what they want without fear of retribution.

I just decided gong into this book that I would open it up for discussion, as I said we all have the right to our opinions no matter what we think or feel about The Donald.

I don't remember in my lifetime any other President work so hard and so fast to keep promises. Talk about not taking any S&*$.
Repealing the Johnson Amendment would become a can of worms if it only pertained to churches, but not charities. (Everything this man does opens a can of worms. )
One thing I cannot back is getting rid of same sex marriage. I am not gay, but many of my close friends are. If opposite sex people have to deal with being married, why shouldn't gay people too?)
