Some days you need just to unwind without guilt and relax and create. It is good for the heart and soul. Chores always get done some way or another.

I like the cat picture and the old style writing but found it a bit hard to read lol. It looked nice and I liked the story of the cat lol. I think that is just what a cat would say. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, I really appreciate it!

It sounds like a well spent winter's day especially "lending an ear" to a friend. Good new rhyme "streaked and unique!" Love the kitty gif. I hope you had a good and creative weekend!

Ha ha...yes, the next day sees double the work, but how I love a rainy day! The sun came out here today, around noon, and I told my husband, 'it just weighs me down.' Seriously...I'm happiest in the rain....loved this!! Blessings...

dear giraffmang, I'm sorry that you had a hard time reading this. I hope you'll have an easier time with my next poem. I know what you mean about lazy days, but I need them sometimes!

A fine rainy day poem. The only way I can have a day like this is if it rains so much the roads are impassible. Poem reminds me of my Chihuahua, Mina, who gets rainy day fever when it rains and I have to carry her out to do her business. Your poem reflects the aching joy of being home to do whatever you want. I love how you use this rainy day as an opportunity to create and "write new verse." We all wish we could have such days. I love your conclusion, "prepare to spend the next day's attempts redoubled."
Thank you for sharing.

Nothing beats a lazy rainy day. A very nice poem sounds very relaxing. The rhyme and meter are well done and the poem flows so nicely. I like the cat you selected. He reminds me of the cat I had for almost 19 years. He was such a sweetie, I miss him a lot.

Dear Lu, thank you for the kind words of review. I'm glad you thought it relaxing and that the technical issues were good.
Awww, I'm sorry about your kitty cat. How long have you been without him? I'm certain you miss him very much.

I got Chico when he was 6 weeks old and I had to have him put down two years ago this December.
But I have lots of pictures of him. I also have a paw print they made for me in a shadow box with his name etched in the glass. He was a sweetie. Never scratched on purpose, was a cuddler.

Awww, Bob, you're the only one so far to call me moonchild and I love it. I got the picture from Photobucket, it's a process to get it into the poem, but getting easier as I go. Of course Dean helped me learn how to do that. I appreciate your very kind words of review and value your friendship.
Best.

Dear Janet, I'm glad you enjoyed this poem and I think that it was a song, except it was " I love a rainy night." I forget who did it, it was a solo artist.

jeni
