Personally, I am thrilled you lost the bet because we got to see/read a great poem. You may not feel comfortable with rhyme, but it seems to come naturally to you. I enjoyed this very much and I am sure Dean will love it too.

what a great poem. This is pretty good seeing as it is a forfeit. You may have lost the bet but we the reader got the prize.
I have never heard of anyone painting with maggots before, but Dean would be the one to do it.

LoL yes, he doesn't use a hook but he really has painted with maggots LOL he is so weird but I love him just the same.

"I love him so much I did it any way"
It would have the same syllable count as the line above it and balance the meter. All your other two line stanzas have the same syllable count except for this pair. Just a suggestion :-))

hahaha you are funny. Yeah, most friends guessed what was going on. Dean thought it would be better to keep it discrete but I am proud of him and I love him and I want the whole world to know. sigh .. I asked him first and I even asked Douglas (he has become my wise big brother) LOL This is my last romance so I have to make it count. Dean is a keeper. ;)
