I can't say that the short haiku poems move me every often, but to see a fat yellow shadow slithering past me on a rock would move me to high gear, sprinting to get away. And I'm not even afraid of snakes, I just don't like surprises. Great job. :-)

Hi Ric, thank you so much. I don't like them and I've great respect. This yellow one has beautiful colours but I don't want to go anywhere near. All the best. Ulla:))

haiku(yellow snake) Is a nice five - eight - two haiku. Your poem is a reminder that not everything that looks aimless is harmless. Your final word is one of great caution: beware. Thanks for sharing. May God bless you!

Not that it matters, but I just hate snakes. This is a well written haiku and the first two lines connect perfectly and the satori is excellent. I enjoyed this very much. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic picture and presentation. Very strong imagery in your first two lines and a great aha moment in the satori that says it all. Well done, my friend. Thanks for participating

Lovely photo, and an excellent choice for this haiku. I love the juxtaposition of shadow, aimless, and beware. I don't always 'get' haiku, sometimes I think it's forced, but this is not.
Good one!!
