Ahhh. . .they growl as they prowl
in search of a mate
to ensure that their kin
don't dissipate!
:-)
Interesting notes - nice satori. . .a choir indeed :-)

Hi Leineco Yes they can sound like a swamp choir when the all get going. I do love to hear the frogs to me they are a good sign that the environment is healthy. Cheers for your review Christine

Hi Gypsy, Thanks for your review and I do hear these frogs on my walks we have even stopped people from building units etc where the frogs habitat is a good community based project. My play is going to be hilarious I have such a fun role and if we can pull it off it will be very funny. Just have to learn my script lines now I will send photos when it is on Cheers Christine

I love frogs but you need a soundtrack of them talking. Copy and paste the address below to the bottom of your Author's Notes. It will not show the video, it just plays their croaks.
Fun to read.

Hi Michael.. I am not good at adding things to my haiku's and I had thought of adding a video but unsure how to do this but there is a good video on Utube called Call of Growling Grass frog and it isonly 52 sec long I will add this to my authors notes
Just thought I would add one and as they are in my area I do hear them Cheers Christine

Frogs calling is an indication the environment and all else is well.

Frogs surely can make a musical choir. I like the playful way this is written, the colors, the image and the poem itself. Great job with this one. Marilyn

This was amazing. The picture was definitely green lol, as was the print. It was a short and simple piece of writing- that said all it needed to say. Your notes were super helpful and very educational. I enjoy reading them because I learn a little more about Australia each time I read, this makes it so enjoyable. thanks for sharing Christine.

This is a beautifully executed haiku. The imagery is concrete and solid painting a great picture both visual and auditory. The satori is clever and finishes the piece perfectly. Nicely done and thank you very much for sharing it.

green grass growling frog
ensemble croaks crawk-crok
swamp's music choir
a clever use of words in this short piece, Chrissy....
The only thing I might question - is green grass(presuming this to be describing the colour of the frog - if so, I would think -- grass-green growling frog --- would be more appropriate - just ignore if not in agreement - my friend.

Hi frierajac, Thanks for reading my Haiku and yes I think this series of Haiku's will provide quite a lot of education from all the writers doing these challenges . They are a part of a Haiku anthology that is being put together by a committee of Haiku members here on FS and there are quite a lot of categories to write about. The best will be selected for the book. thanks for your interest and I suppose having frogs in your bathtub beats a rubber duckie Ha Ha. Cheers Christine😃
