Very clever and timely. This poem proves you can say a lot in a just a few words! I usually don't like political poetry, but regardless of politics this one is a stand-out.

Hi friend, sorry if I get it wrong, i read this writing several times, one because I like the word use and the terse way of putting them all together. I want to know what they mean. If I take them literally, they do not say much. I am very sorry no harm intended.

I would love to clarify. The American women peacefully marched to show their displeasue with Trump. Women all over the world joined their sisters. Pink was everywhere and there was not one incident of violence. The name of Trump's book is called The Art ofThe Deal. The women were showing their own art. It was a beautiful, emotional event and one picture showed a very small group (like 5 women) doing their own little movement in a small town in Canada. Thank you for the review, I appreciate your interest. Cheers, j

That must have been an amazing march to be a part of. Women's solidarity is a strong force - maybe this is the beginning of something. Whatever happens, your poem is a great tribute to the women who protested, and to those who were unable to be there is person, but were present in spirit.

Thanks for the review and sparkly stars. Yes it was wonderful to see such a peaceful march across the world. Let's put women in charge for a few years and see what happens. Cheers, j

Yes, please - although (apparently) Margaret Thatcher was a woman, and the UK has not yet recovered from the damage she did when she was Prime Minister. She brought shame to our sex, with her cold-hearted policies.

People must understand that the world is not the same as it was years ago. Women will not be silenced. We are tired of our bodies and lives being dictated by men. Imagine if women were in charge, this would be a more compassionate, colorful world. sigh...

I'm with you all the way.
My grandma had a backstreet abortion in Canada, when it was illegal. She bled to death. My mother and her twin sister were (effectively) orphaned, as their father was a hopeless alcoholic who dumped them. I've always been aware of the dangers of abortion being banned. In Ireland, women die all the time from violent terminations. Men have no right to wield power over our bodies and our lives. It's time for worldwide change
There'll be no peace until women take over.

Exactly, cutting funds to NGO's who help women plan their family is a huge mistake. I live in Africa and I speak to the women about birth control. I often tell them to get the implant that prevents pregnacies. The men here don't care, the more babies the better to take of them in old age. But with so many children, they live in poverty. I tell them better to have 2 or 3 so there is money for education, good food and attention. Abortion is illegal here. Not only the choice to terminate, but all the other services they provide for women's health. I agree, let's put women in charge for a few years, cheers, j

As you know: - If you educate an individual. If you educate a girl, you educate a nation.

I think that's an apt quote. I've just learned that the original quote, though worded slightly differently, came from Brigham Young, head of the Mormon Church in the mid 18th century!

Women have so much to offer, but in many countries, they are stifled. Here in Tanzania, I often sponser little projects and the women succeed better than the men, just saying...cheers, j

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem. President Trump is a very outspoken person, sometimes he say things that cause many people to react.

The women's march the day after the inauguration made a strong statement regarding the fears and anxiety over the future with Trumps's administration. Well written 5-7-5. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for the review. I cannot believe that they used the photo of the march (it was dated) and passed it off as the 'yuge' inaugeration crowd. That says alot of his character and relentless drive to be more than he is, sheesh. Cheers, j

I wouldn't want to be working around him. He's creepy, and now that he's president he'll get away with creeping. I'm not an American, but his crap will affect the whole world. It's scary. Good luck in the contest.

Hello my fellow Canadian. Thanks for the review and yes he is such a creep. The fact that he used the photo of the women;s march on the mall and claimed that it was the inaugeration crowd, (the date was on the bottom) is low on so many levels. How is Ft MacMurray doing these days? I was there many years ago when it was just a boom town. Cheers j

Hello. Fort MacMurray is recovering from the fires. The re-build is in the news sometimes. Most of the town is OK now, but they're still working on some of the hardest hit areas. We had most of the people here for a few months, and they are wonderful people. As for Trump, here's hoping the Mexicans tell him where he can put his wall, and he'll need a proctologist to get it out.

ha ha, okay, now I believe you are a Canadian woman. What a contrast between Justin and the Don in regard to refugees. Trump has put every American soldier overseas at risk.
I worked laying sod at the brand new apartment buildings and then organizing events 35 years ago in Ft MacMurray. All these Syncrude workers with money and nowhere to spend it spurred me to rent the only church basement, sell tickets and throw extravaganza parties with music and great food. Made a fortune, enough to travel around the United States and Mexico for three months, then back to Montreal. I am frugal, hah. Cheers, j

I'm not sure what 'the art of our deal' means. I think that line could be less vague and more immediate as far as making the point. Otherwise I like the poem. Thanks!

The art of the deal was the title of Trump's book. I played on the word art because the women painted the world pink. Thanks for the review, cheers, j

You have written the perfect poem for our time. Wow. thank you very much. And, the illustration is great to enhance your poem. How clever to use Trump's phrase art of the deal to show that we women are using the art of the deal -- true art of a good deal. (We have ideals, not just deals.)

Thanks for the review and sparkly stars. I am so proud of each of those women. Trump seems bad now, but I believe he will be a catalyst for a better America. People are just going to be so fed up with the lies and manipulations they, not Trump, will make America great. Cheers, j

A great artwork that complements your tiny poem perfectly. I enjoyed the way you describe Trump's first day in office. Millions of women colouring the world pink, the art of the deal.
