Of course I've not been about so am not familiar with the story, but found this chapter easy to follow - You have a really good mix of characters and enough intrigue to make the reader want to read on.

Tension is mounting.

You have this going along well. You maintained a good balance of dialogue, narration and dramatization. Well done on that regard. Most importantly you held my attention. I will be looking forward to what's coming next.

Boy, oh boy. Patricia is a real tyrant.
I agree that she should call Emily by name and not refer to her as if she was a possession.
How did Anderson EVER end up marrying such a vidictive 'bitch'?

The Russians have Patricia on the alert for Shana, now. Not good.

Thank you for the kind review. Many people are asking about how Drew ever married this person. I hope eventually we will get the answer. Drew hasn't told me, yet.

Another wonderful chapter. I'm looking forward to the next.

"Her name is Emily." Anderson set his jaw. "Brownies and banana splits are not a healthy breakfast. Helen will ensure Emily eats healthy food."
When Patricia opened her mouth to protest, he added, "I refuse to have this conversation. I have work to do, goodbye." He opened the elevator door.(Just evil Eddie at large, separate the sentences.)

The ex-wife sounds about right, full of spite and nastiness, lol. Well, they don't seem to be getting any closer with finding out what it is about the painting that is so intriguing. Obviously the crooks think Shana has the answers, even if she has no idea what they want. Now we have Anderson's daughter coming to stay, I hope nothing goes wrong. Excellent chapter, Barbara. :) Sandra xxx

I don't understand why they just can't tell the police Ivan is not the owner of the painting.... if Shana has some proof of ownership, that is. Someone must KNOW she owns it or they would not be looking for her and following her Anderson. I told you I don't care for this kind of story, and maybe that's because I don't understand why they're not bringing in police.

Thank you for the kind review. Shana has proof her great ancestors owned the painting but no proof the Nazi''s stole it or how it got into the Russians's hands. It's very complicated and this process in real life has taken decades to resolve. FOR REAL!!!! People are still trying to get their artwork back.

This is a good chapter. The tension is building and now we have a sniping nosy ex-wife who can't seem to remember her own daughter's name. Excellent detail, love the dogs who love their daughter, Emily. Dogs are part of the family, I have three and they are good friends, alarm systems and protectors. But most importantly, big babies first. Emily is in good paws, lol.
Great chapter, and I am looking forward to more.

Interesting developments here. They are trying to figure out who the man in the museum was, as well a Ivan Kuznetsov. The horrid ex-wife shows up and then the dogs arrive..."Axel and Thor sauntered into the room."

I have to admit, I loved that. Of course, their daughter loves the dogs too, and they are family members as well as good protectors.

Nicely done! Longer chapters please! Lol - sorry, I know you're busy. :)

Ha! "I told them I had no idea who your new hussy might be." : )

I love Anderson's ex-wife Patricia. She adds energy and a villain to your novel. Since the men chasing Shana are indistinct, it was good having a character like Patricia pop out. She is nosy and abrasive. She also provides tension and conflict with Anderson's budding relationship with a "hussy."

This is an engaging chapter which kept me glued. Thank you for sharing.
