The wondrous thing of snowflakes, they are all uniquely shaped, like grains of sand, with the Master's handprint on each one! Beautifully written, I think this is one your finest ones Janet, indeed you must have been, deeply moved by this! "Beauty from ashes" indeed, blessings, Roy

Three lovely stanzas inspired by your holiday in the North. You don't say how far north you went but from the beautiful descriptive poem, you enjoyed it so much and as a result wrote this very well versed piece in good abab rhyme. Lovely ending with your last two lines 'Bright sparkling flakes of diamond dust all painted by the Master's hand.' Lovely - and good use of metaphor with those words. An enjoyable read. Warm regards Dorothy

Thank you Dorothy for a thoughtful and encouraging review. I greatly appreciate your comments.
We were in Northwest PA but we also made a trip to Buffalo NY. There is a snow belt between northwest PA and Buffalo that always surprises me. We are not used to driving in the snow anymore.

Nicely done, Jm. I like the first verse. I first thought ''slumber
''lumber in those two instances, but then read again and found that slow moving quality it gives. Peaceful.
Nicely done, JM. You know I love your work.
Have a great day.
My best wishes.

Excellent. Your holiday? Try living here in the north country. I love weather and the storms we live with here in Michigan. Snow is a part of life here and I wouldn't chage anything. Good work

Thank you so much for a thoughtful and encouraging review. I greatly appreciate your comments.
We live in NC now but moved here from northwest PA about 12 years ago. PA winters are nothing like those in Michigan but we did get lake effect snow from Lake Erie. They are lots of snow when we were there but we missed the worst of it. Glad to be back in the south. haha

Your poem expresses perfectly what all believers feel when they see the beauty of God's creative power. A impressive photograph that you chose to complement your poem.

A beautiful presentation A great rhyming poem about winter that has a nice rhythm when read aloud. I like the other poetic elements ie. alliteration. Too many poets I rea on fanstory do not do this

JMF,
You have a wonderful poetic gift and have penned an awe inspiring poem that perfectly captures the wonder and glory of the Master's creation. I grew up on the island of Bermuda and moved to Boston 22 years ago. Your poem brings back found memories of my first experience of seeing snow and being mesmerized by it beauty.
This poem will forever be one of my all-time favorites.

That must have been a real shock to go from Bermuda to Boston. Hey, that almost sounds like a poem title. Haha

Your poem about the winterland and polar bears was quite a revealing story... It reminded me of Our Master's/Potter's Hand at creating this universe and everything in it including the polar bears and US!
Thank you for sharing it....I so enjoyed reading it.

This is a very beautifully written poem with very good descriptive wording and very good imagery. It made me think of when we went to PA many times and it would be snow and beauty all around. God is so good to give us beauty beyond compare! I enjoyed it very much! Blessings, Teri

Thank you Teri for your kind and encouraging review. PA does have its snowy winters. I lived there for most of my life and now enjoy a visit - but prefer visiting in The summer. Haha
