These three abcb quatrains tell how beautiful the Earth can be, even in Winter, I like the metaphor of the polar bear with the wind. The words also remind you who created the beauty.

Lovely, descriptive poem of the beginning of winter. It is so quiet when it snows and yet in the morning the sun really does shine brightly and beautifully. Thank you for your words.

Very new to reviewing: However, I think this is a very good description of the incoming winter. The colorful life like description gives a full overview of what a northern winter could look like blowing in. The ending is exactly what the aftermath of a winter storm would like "the morning came, a brilliant sun". Is simply amazing!! Well done!

A very well-written poem. There is only one master painter that can paint the most wonderful scenes of nature wherever we find ourselves to witness.

Well done Janet. Great imagery wrapped up in tetrameter and abcb rhyme. I love it when there is a mist of ice crystals floating in the air sparkling like tiny diamonds. Lovely picture. xoxo Nancy

This is a lovely winter's poem, Janet! There is something so beautiful about waking up to everything blanketed in white. Your poem captures this feeling very well. Excellent rhyming and a smooth flow with good imagery created for your reader. My favorite line is "the polar air came lumbering" ... creative! Both your poem and the artwork befit one another perfectly!
A very nice poem, Janet!

A beautiful poem that uses imagery to paint an explicit picture of the snow storm, and its subsequent sparkling gift left behind. It was all painted by the Master's hand. Wow, how profound.
Thanks for the share!!
