This would have been a great entry for the story in a poem contest. A story of tragedy and redemption is well written with lovely imagery and strong rhymes. Great poem, my friend~Debbie

Exceptional

Wow Sandra, You not only are good at telling a story, but also in rhyme. This is written in good heptameter and rhyming couplets, aabb, etc. A lovely picture that is perfect for the story. 'through an illicit dalliance his daughter had enjoyed.' This is a clever line with good use of the letter L. 'She passed him by and went around the corner out of sight,' - that's a nice subtle line - very sly LOL. What couples will do for love. I was not sure how this would end, but you gave it a happy one. Well done - Warm regards Dorothy xx

Thank you so very much for the lovely shiny 6 stars, Dorothy!! I have always enjoyed writing stories in poetry, and since joining FS, I have written loads. I might sort them out later and publish them myself for my children. I'm really pleased you enjoyed this one, my friend, thank you! :) Sandra xxx
