I gave six because of your ability to take a current situation and see it to it's bitterest end. This title reminded me of a song by Electric Light Orchestra,
"Turning to Stone"
The symbolism portrayed here is very palpable, and as part native American, "Cherokee", this is a vivid portrayal of the worst case scenario. The image is profoundly appropriate, and your personification of earth mother is so moving that by the end, a shiver went up AND down my spine.
