Thanks for your support and for the suggestion, Marilyn, but "ego" and "he goes" doesn't rhyme so well.

I know you are cat-centric, and your defense of them is as admirable as the loyalty of man's best friend. (I thought we were over these political squabbles, but I drew the line at dogs, although I do like cats a lot, too, )

Thanks for your compliments and your suggestion, Marilyn! As to the latter, though, I must say that "ego" and "he goes" doesn't help in the rhyme department, and ego suggests that cats aren't individuals, a slur to cathood, from you of all people!

I do appreciate your loyalty in defense of the cat. I find it almost as avid as man's best friend's loyalty to man. But, when push comes to shove, you can't deny that a cat won't give tit for tat. I thought it best to get that off of my chest . -> ;) <-

(I also thought we had put these heated political confrontations behind us, Marilyn, but I had to draw the line at dogs, although that's a lot, I do like cats a lot, too.)

A well-written contest entry. You have nailed the difference between cats and dogs only it is too short. I love dogs and have cats also. But in a choice, it would be dogs every time.

I do not like cats but think you describe them well aloof disdainful creatures and of course dogs are great such unselfish loving creatures, and you managed to get it to rhyme as well .nicely done
