I think that the pucture makes a oerfect accompanyment to your Free Verse message about anger. The rattlesnake as pet makes an excellent metaphor. Good advice.

Hey, that is a great analogy, Patricia. I'm going to try and remember these wise words whenever I feel anger rise about something that happened in the past! It makes perfect sense what you say!
Well done!
Have a great day, Patricia!

In some ways I agree, anger is detrimental and we must find a way to dissipate it or it will destroy, that's true. But people who continually hurt others have an agenda, are toxic, and we must release them, let them go and pray for healing for them and for us. Marilyn

The picture makes perfect sense to go with the piece. Anger only makes one simple minded with one thought in mind...getting back.
Very well done and great advice

Interesting analogy. I never thought of comparing anger to rattlesnakes. I think that is a wise saying that holding on to anger can cause ourselves hurt as well as to others.

Patricia, a very good one on anger. I just wrote one on anger today,
too. I'm doing a lesson with women at the prison in a couple of weeks
and it's about anger. I like your comparison of picking up the
rattlesnake and holding on to anger.

Thanks for the nice review, Judy. I am so far behind as I had a lost day yesterday because of my eyes being dilated.
Comment from Sasha
I agree with this completely. Holding onto anger is insane as well as unhealthy. I, like you, did this for years and only recently let it go by forgiving those that had caused my anger. It was as though a heavy weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Great work with this one. Strong and important message too.

Hi Patricia,
Thanks again for writing such a nice poem that held my interest.
It's so sad when people hold onto their anger as it doesn't help at all.
Instead of always being angry they should stop and start talking to God.
