So far, all the cabinet members have been approved by pure Republican numbers and having Democrats dislike someone is a moot point. Flynn apparently lied himself out of a job. DeVos, in spite of being called the most unqualified candidate ever, was confirmed. It seems that everyone let into cabinet posts are there to serve special interests and cut the need for lobbyists.

DeVoe is probably not the best fit for Education Secretary.

    Flynn reaped what he sowed.

The bottom line is that no matter what a conservatively-elected president wants to do he/she will never been accepted by liberals and vice versa. It's not really the person who's elected, it's the policies and agenda they want to implement that irks the opposing party. It's as simple as that. It's not rocket science. Marilyn

I am confused as to the cabinet members nominated for fear of their ability to successfully do the duties of their office, being put in as friends and not the ones that qualify.

I believe it's Jeff Sessions not Simmons--the Attorney General nominee.
Let's hope they get their paperwork in and all turns out just fine.
There doesn't seem to be enough time allotted to get everything done since these billionaires have huge holdings, and to compile it all isn't a simple task.

Don't ask me why I typed in "Simmons". No idea where that came from?

    Of course it is "Sessions".

    Time will tell.

Still no real opinion here but I found a awkward sentence.

Cabinet members before paperwork to insure there are no criminal, ethical, or financial issues involved with these nominees has been completed.
(Sentence doesn't read correctly.)

Republicans are attempting to hold hearings for nominated Cabinet members before paperwork has been completed, to insure there are no criminal, ethical, or financial issues.

These were intended to provide information on these nominees. Therefore, no real opinion was necessary.

A very well-written editorial. There are many questions about the elected President. If it's normal procedure to question each elected President's intentions, why were there so many failures in the past?
