I like this! A lot of imagery--an ocean of poppies--my favorite line. And the opening line. Did you write this to the photo?

LoL How is it that in the animal world the males are the pretty ones and in the ''other'' animal world the males are so darn ugly. LoL, nah, just kidding, don't feel bad about being pretty.
I like your bird haiku. It's a human haiku of the amorous kind. It's perfect for the season of love. Or is it always the love season in your world?
Well done my friend. It's good to see you join the haiku lovers movement... make haiku and not love. hahahah I know you have not join per say, but I know deep in your heart are dying to join the force.
Luv ya, bro

Strong clear imagery in your first two connecting lines. I also like your satori - it has a good aha moment. Thanks for participating in the challenge for this week

Yes a peahen has a reason to sigh dejectedly after seeing her mates tail feathers and the beautiful field of flowers.

This is a beautifully executed haiku. The imagery is vibrant as it creates a contrast in color which sets up the satori perfectly. Nicely done and I thank you very much for sharing it.

You tell a tale here. The beautiful peacock is dazzling next to the plain poppies. The pea hen is in love, the reader can see the two birds clearly. Excellent haiku that creates a picture of nature.

Excellent alliteration. I guess you know that. I've run out of sixes, so a five will have to do. Nice job! Haiku is not one of my loves, but I do enjoy reading good ones like this.

Hi Mikey,
you have written about my favourite bird. How beautiful are they.
I love the idea of the pea hen being out shone by the peacocks beauty.
This was great.

Peacocks cannot compare with God's Cathedral's beauty. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.
