Very lovely dedication to a wonderful person who gave her life to others on a daily basis. I think you did a great job. FAvorite line. She had a tranquil aura--a soft gentleness so rare,
and emanated love and joy to everybody there.

A beautiful story shared via your lovely poem. We cherish memories from the past and people who touched our hearts and souls. Incredibly positive influence engraved. People like she, are giving us new eyes how to teach and spread the words of God, appreciate others, and help making the world a better place. The image is exquisite. Excellent work. With love, Ella

Hello, can you put a ❤ on your wall, without comment, only a heart, then send this message to your female contacts. After putting one ❤ on the wall of the person who sent you this message. If anyone asks why you have so many hearts on your wall do not answer. It is for women only to remember its the week of breast cancer prevention! ❤ Check your boobies!!
Pass it on please

I know you will think I'm thick, Ella, but how do I do it? When you say on my wall, what do you mean? LOL, I will of course do it, I'll all in favour of anything that will make women more aware. This old dear just needs to be told how!! LOL. :) xxxxx

She sounds like a true woman of God. From the way you describe her reminds me of a woman who mentored me when first became a Eucharistic Minister. She was soft-spoken and gentle, too.
We're so lucky to have the influence of people like this in our lives. You've written a beautiful poem in tribute for your missionary friend. 8-)

I think missionaries and anyone who takes God's word to others, are very special people. The memories I have of them have stayed with me throughout my life. I guess that is why I have clicked with you so easily, Yvonne. You have to be very special too. Thank you so much for this lovely review, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

It seems this missionary touched you deeply. She seems very holy and loving.
She reminds me of Mother Theresa.

What a lovely example of iambic heptameter united with the rhymed couplets of ballad stanza. A form not often used because the length of the line slows the pace so much, but perfect here, where it produces a sense of calm. One can feel the children hanging on every word from this remarkable woman. The steady pace and rhythm of your poem creates a perfect sense of peaceful unity.

Yes, some of those missionary stories can sure let us travel the world and meet new people and places that we will remember forever. I have some of those memories myself, and how I have your words and picture to add to my portfolio. Thanks for another fine poem. :-)

A beautiful poem written with good imagery especially in the first stanza. There is some good rhythm too. My favourite is in the second stanza. Drew

Very nice, Sandra. I think you did a good job of describing your response to this missionary when you were a child. I can see where her stories would have been magical. Good flow in this poem

We often had the missionaries come to our church, and I just loved all the stories they told. One lady left a lasting impression on me with the tales she told when I was a child. ~Thank you, Douglas for reading my poem and the lovely review. :) Sandra xxx
