This is a wonderful contest entry with spot on line and syllable count. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the observation as "giggles" so make a 'joyful noise unto the Lord'. I wish you all the best in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.

Hello Carolyn,

So nice to see that you are back. I hope that all is well with you and yours. This poem is an excellent entry for the 2-4-2 contest. Love "joy noise"! Syllable count is spot on, and the artwork is the perfect complement to your write.

Good luck in the contest!

Connie

Carolyn, Children's giggles are always fun to hear. They make
us want to laugh along with them. A very nice entry for the
2 4 2 poetry contest. A great picture you found to go with it.

A very well-written 2-4-2 poem. The joyful laughter and giggles of children are always a pleasure to experience while we watch them play.

I love how you call "giggles" a "joy noise." It's funny how wonderful a child's giggle sounds--and how we have to beware when they stop--it usually means the child is getting into trouble. The framing of the verse within the frame of the two children swinging also has a positive impact on the poem's mood.

Well done Carolyn, a nice entry in this 2/4/2 contest, you've done a good job in an otherwise difficult form to create a meaning, good scribing, and I wishing you and Larry a happy, prosperous new year, good luck, my friend, blessings, Roy

I agree with this absolutely, children laughing are a joy to hear, especially that squeal of excitement. Too many can be a bit... Lol good luck in the contest. Cheers.

I really enjoyed reading and reviewing this great 2-4-2 poem you have penned for the contest. I especially liked the part about the giggles as our grandson is two and a half and he giggles a lot. Very good wording and imagery. Blessings, Teri

Thank you Teri, we too have grandchildren, when Ashlyn giggled, it made me laugh so hard, my sides hurt. She is 15 now and loves that story. :) Carolyn
