Lancellot, this is a well written story. It kept my attention to the end with it interesting points of discussion. There is a small typo in the following line shown in ( ) -
Darlene -shifts from on(e) foot to the other-
Thanks for the read. ~DD

It's true. In the Chicago area, people tend to think alike, the same for California and they're in a mess too. You're doing a good job.

Hi Lance,
You did a really great job of stating your positions in this script and the message rang through loud and clear.

Just a couple of easy fixes:

Darlene (shifts from on foot to the other): Well... I don't know about that. I am a Democrat and I... (one foot)
It's just so happens (It)

Thanks for sharing!

Kim

Huh?
Montana is where my son want to move just to get away from it all here in FL.
It may not matter if the group-thinking is conservative or liberal. Without the another opinion, you're right, no one even looks for the hole in the bottom while the ship sinks.

Sounds like a lot of political jargon to keep from facing issues. The city isn't broken. It doesn't need fixing because it can't be fixed. No point even trying. The war is over, the good guys lost, as Leonard Cohen would say.

What wonderful and meanigful dialofue between the young lady and the congressman. Group thin is not good and it leads to all kinds of difficulties, even close to 800 murders in Chicago in 2016, Excellent write, Lance.

Like the way you developed this story, script, very readable. When I review a posting expressing a political view, I set aside my political preferences and concentrate on the thrust of the arguments presented.( Argument as Plato would make). Thought this well written and the arguments offered well positioned.
Good work and readable.

Wonderful comments in this. I loved the quote from General Patton and the Congressman's zinger at the end, "Move to Montana." Group think is the emblem of most Democrats. As members of Congress and Senators, they always vote the same, with a few notable exceptions. As the Congressman says, there are many cities like Chicago with their violence. I've seen some letters to the editor in our local paper, calling for an end to the electorial college. If it weren't for it, the whole country would be California and New York. Sorry I don't have a six, but that's how the end of the week goes. judi
