A poem that is full of imagery that displays a true and loving family tradition.. The artwork complements your poem perfectly. The poem reads smoothly and does not seem forced.

What a beautiful tradition! That is so impressive that it has continued and treasured by descendants for 100 years. I like that the white gown is symbolic of putting on the Lord Jesus and being covered by His redemptive act. I wish for another rhyme for the sixth couplet. Otherwise, lovely poem!

Thank you I'll take another look at the couplet you mention. I always appreciate suggestions.

I especially liked the three generations Christened in this dress line. But the entire poem, while personal, was still enjoyable and I think did a great job of filling the topic requirements for the contest. Well done.

It must be a real buzz to inherit something from generations past, this beautiful christening smock past down from generation to generation, how proud you must be. Well done, your pride on display in sweet rhyming couplets, bless you, Roy

I hope this poem finds its way to the baby book of the child who inspired you to write it. Not only does it capture the family history--it also captures the the love that was passed down with the christening gown. Reading this evokes a sense of peace, satisfaction, and pride.
