Great descriptions for this part of your adventure. I could feel the bumpy boat ride, as well as getting doused by water. I could see the 'amazing apparition' sitting opposite you and El Capitano of the first boat. You went a long way for that lobster and shrimp so I hope you enjoyed it!

Perhaps now we shall see more empathy from you with all those Syrian refugees trying to make it to Europe via Greece or wherever. It all sounds like a hilarious journey when one is seated, as I am, at my computer workstation in Wales. Actually afloat, well just about afloat, on the Caribbean is probably not quite so hilarious.
As I remember Odysseus got along OK with Circe till he tried to leave. Are there going to be 19 chapters like this? I rather hope so.

Many thanks, Jim, for your review of Part 4, the wild ride across the Caribbean Sea. As you say, a good way to gain empathy with the Syrian refugees, though I think that their boats may be a tad slower! Not sure that I'll run to a full 19 episodes, but there are a few to come yet. Best wishes, Tony.

Using the brogue of the area, you gave is the trip of a lifetime. I enjoy the 'air conditioning ' of a fast boat and letting my hair blow behind me. It is such freedom that no one can explain.
Very well written and I love the way you divide it into parts to let us enjoy before we move on

The verbal strucure of the. story reminisces an open boat journey to San Pedro.
The work hihlights the condition of the boats that ply the route, the outlook and temperament of the Caribe Captain, the tourists, natives, the vegetation, the sea and its wild population of creatures and the Caribe Captain's interaction with other boats.
The work constitutes a significant commentary on the high patronage of boat trips made by tourists.
Excellent work! Bravo!

I have been on some of those so called ferries and you describe the experience perfectly. Your transition from the first leg of the journey to the second was well executed as the use of noticing your own luggage jumping ship made for a good pivot into the slightly calmer ride even if you guys did have to separate temporarily. You all certainly earned your lovely repast as their is nothing better than lobster and shrimp in that neck of the woods. Well done and I thank you very much for sharing it.

I've never been a fan of water or boats so this trip of yours would have scared me to death. Especially the first part, maybe I would have survived the second leg.
I may have a few more beers than lobster when I landed.
We'll told story.
