Cat, this photograph shows us the way the bald eagle fishes for food for his/her young family. Your haiku's tells us of what is happening in (1), that has the fish unable to free itself from the grasp of the talons and in (2) tell the readers that the fish caught is headed where and why and it, the fishing is done daily.
Well done my friend,,,,,,

Oh, thank you, Jim, for your review. I tell stories with my haiku and the pictures I select for them. Seeing an eagle fly a fish a mile inland over my backyard is a sight I will always remember.

Two very clever Haikus. I like it when there's a verbal twist at the end.
Air apparent is hilarious, and seafood flown daily. Very cute.
I also like the way you tied a beautiful picture into poems about the same.
Take care,
Rhonda

I think you have done this perfectly (not that I'm an expert) and on top of that, you've given us two of them. Your satori lines are very good and they do stand alone, which I've been told is important. Very nice job with this, Andre. Considering where you live, I'm sure you've seen this scene lived out more than once. I miss living right by the ocean! Now I live 30 minutes away, which is too far. My last day in Eureka, I saw an osprey carrying a fish - just like this. Very nice action in this as well.

Yes, Carol, I wrote fifty lines of drafts for the last haiku and I discovered I had enough material left over to write a second. No, I only saw this scene once. Seeing an eagle fly a fish a mile inland over my backyard is a sight I will always remember. Thank you for your generous, six star review of my action-packed haiku.
Comment from adoman
Very good writing. And yeah, could not agree more. No safe fish for this flying predator. Continue expressing your short but exciting thoughts.

I love the poem, especially the way it flows and how the words seamlessly connect. The artwork also adds some nice imagery to the haikus.

Our parents have always tried to feed us, the conscientious have always tried to lead us. The majestic eagle is the epitome of the faithful parent, The mother eagle will fly long distances, wait patiently for her opportunity to grab a pleasing and fulfilling meal for her offspring then return with to feed them. She is to be admired.
