A true nightmare indeed my Brother Badger to know the before is to relive the after effects time and time again but to close that previous chapter is to escape the memories and become totally swallowed up by the newness that is so very well received simply because the expression often used within our earthly walk is a deepened desire to become truly free so to truly achieve that is so awe inspiring....Write my Brother Write....Cranial Thinker

Taken by the bowels of the Earth! I can understand your phobia What a frightening experience to be"eaten" by a road. I assuming you die in this phobia judging by the lines previous chapter
finally I'm free

Thanks for tying those together, I did not see the connection until then.
Very astute observation, my fine feathered friend~

Very good. The flow is fantastic and the wording is great. Sharing a fear in a public place is very brave and goes a long way to show our fantastic character. Your piece causes me at least and maybe others to pause in their day and think about life as it is and what if tomorrow could be the end.

When I see pictures or hear stories of sinkholes, it does make me a bit leary about the possibility of the earth swallowing us whole. Nicely done for the haiku. Patricia

A very well-written haiku. We all have fears of some kind that can cripple us until we can overcome our fears then we set ourselves free from the burden of fear.
