I like the poem, it calls to memory the dancing horses I am happy that you chose my artwork, the concept portrayed in the poem is touching given the modern age and the shrinking world for horses and larger animals as man begins to take over and place animals on display,. great job I enjoyed it very much and hope you continue to write your poetry.

Thank you Lorraine: I saw your art work and was impressed with its intensity. Every person visiting that page loved it. I would like to have your permission to include it with my poem in the Book titled, "Random Reflections", soon to be in print. Please let me know via my e-mail- niyuta@ Aol.com.
If you are interested, please visit my portfolio. All my literary works are present there. My 2 novels are in print with LuLu. They need verification of copyrighted works directly from the source. Also we could work collaboratively for mutual benefits, when I publish my next two Novels and this Poetry Book in 2017, I could use your works for cover pictures. Thanks for the comment. Happy New Year.

I love this so much. I am a horseback rider of 15 years and proud of it. Thank you for writing this. I admire your poem writing ability. The images provided in the words are just so perfect.

I am humbled by your generosity. I love horses and many animals who are our friends and it has been a long time since I rode one, horses remain my favorite along with the Dogs. When I watched the video of how they breed, train and make them perform; those magnificent animals look better than any humans performing(I am bias) . I also spent some time in Colorado and New Mexico; I loved those wild horses and their free spirits. The words of this poem came together on their own. I would like to use your comment in my Poetry Book, "Random Reflections". when I publish it. May I? Please let me know. Thanks again. Sincerely, Arun

There is nothing more elegant and beautiful than watching the lipizanner school and horses perform. The poem covers them well. Your words flow well line to line combining easily and forming the message of the poem for the reader. Very well done.

Thank you Winona: I appreciate your review and comments. I love horses and I like to see them running free and not perform for human entertainment. However, it is gratifying to see them so majestically performing and they are well taken care of right until their last days. Best regards.

Your free verse poem can really be seen as having two halves - the description of the lives of the highly trained Lipizzaner dancing horses, and the contrasting free lives that their ancestors would have lived.

perhaps there is some criticism here of the unnatural world of the dancing horses, yet you point out that they are in fact 'Happy in their perpetual captive lives'

Steve

Thanks for your review and comments. I agree with your criticism but that was a deliberate presentation of how I felt after watching the video of their performance, breeding, training etc., I wondered, do we have right to take away freedom of these and other magnificent animals? I do not have an answer for that. They are well taken care off and treated as Assets and that is a solace for me. My best regards.-Arun

An excellent photo of a Lipizzaner horse. They are specially bred to dance on the music. But have they ever been allowed to roam free? No, they have not. We saw them In Vienna, so beautiful.

Thanks for your comment. I saw the performance and training video. It was amazing but having lived in Colorado and New Mexico, I couldn't help thinking of free Horses. Best regards. Happy New Year.

Thanks Meia. After watching the video of Lipizzaner horses getting training and performing, my mind wondered off to our Mustangs in wilderness of Colorado and New Mexico where I spent some years of my life. The poem came easily when mind and emotions came together. Best regards and a Happy New Year wishes.
