Hi Maria Jose. What a lovely poem and Robun and Linda, I bet, must be delighted. Can't really think of something rhyming on iris either. Well, Paris rhymes but how to fit that in I don't know. All the best. Ulla:)))

When you combine my favorite flower with an adorable little creature, it is a win-win!
Delightful in storyline as well as rhyme and meter. The photo is amazing.

LOL Maria!
You must know I love your unrhymed lines the best.
I like your "cosy" British English...rather than 'cozy'
but that word is in your partially rhymed stanza...
so let's not talk too much about that.
Very nice music choice that you have chosen with
your Daughter's name. How cool of a name is that!
"Enough rhyme for one day,
My brain cells
Are getting tired.
Prose is calling from my desk."
Got it! Wow, now I will have to go see if Robyn
reviewed this.
Very fun,
Linda

P.S. There's virus but it's not a very nice word...

I read this and decided to help you out. I was determined to find a word that rhymed with Iris, but all I could come up with was Miley Cyrus.

The photo is adorable. That could be made into a whole story of the little vole and her great adventure. Wearing herself out and being lost she falls asleep in an iris. Waking to daylight and finding her way home.

Where did you get that picture? Priceless. She(?) looks so sweet.
I like that it rhymed, too. "I have just seen a vole sleeping in a tiny hole."
Thank you for sharing this.

HAHAHAHAHA! What a delight! Thank you! I was surprised and thrilled (just a wee bit, I admit) to open your poem and find that I had been honored with a tribute. HUZZAH!
This was fresh and funny and PRECIOUS! Thank you!
