This was really an enjoyable and fascinating read. It is very well written, and presents itself in a way that helps us understand what is going on in our world, and what is coming. Thank you for sharing... Christy

Hi there, fascinating concept of where the world is going, and not one I disagree with but maybe fear. We'll see, if I live long enough. All the best. Ulla:))

Ideas to 'chew over' abound here especially the notion of accelerating change and where that is likely to lead. The 'flow to global ' is certainly a phenomenon which is unlikely to stop - despite attempts to 'halt' it by myopic leaders. One wonders what it is all about ????????? Must get a copy of 'Road to Utopia'.

That was really interesting. I wonder what all those geniuses would think of today's world, and Nikola Tesla, he would be gobsmacked to learn his invention is being used world wide in the 21st century. What an achievement that is. You've put a lot into these exercises, and written them in a way that makes interesting reading. Really well done, I've learnt a lot from reading them. :) Sandra

Fascinating essay. I wondered how voice recognition worked (when it does work) and found the explanation of our words being converted and sorted into a dictionary by the computer fascinating.
Two thoughts;
1: This sentence seemed a bit awkward:
"During this time during the last millennium, we were in the dark ages. "
--During this time is now. During the last millennium is anytime over the past 1000 years. The double "during this..." is repetitive.
consider: During this point in the last millennium
2: "Just 30 or 40 years ago we had access to just two newspapers or three television stations for our information. "
--again, the quick repetition of phrasing seems awkward "Just 30...just two"
consider
As recent as 30 or 40 years ago, we had access to...

Excellent...but Tesla died in poverty in seedy hotel...
Gates received benefit...
I think nefarious use of technology will strip away utopian dreams...
Satellite GPS already allows state police to see if I am home in real time..They told me this...

Your essay is very thought provoking and so full of interesting information. I will have to re-read it to fully comprehend all of the information. Very interesting indeed.

A well-written piece. The narrative flows well and moves along well from beginning to end. The piece is imaginative, creative and I really liked it. The well-written technical parts read easily and simply put could be real.

This is a very interesting commentary. I have to say, that I think you may be confusing the the things you see happening in most 'Western societies' as being a global movement. There is a huge growth away from the individual to group think and community also, 'socialism'. Many Eastern societies are heavy on Nationalism too.
