I like the different perspectives you have used in your short text. It's interesting to see inside the head of the man and the woman. Also interesting to see the stream personified.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow. What a wonderful piece of work.

The perception of each element of the picture. How clever.

"I observe her from a distance as I pretend to live a drab existence. Nothing is drab in her realm." Poor man has his own world he lives in, but he's drawn to this woman.

" I will tell him once again how wonderful he is. It spurs him to be a fisherman." A kind lady who knows how to make it feel important.

But my favorite is "It isn't the water that makes me a river. It is my awareness of life inside me." Showing the river to be a living thing with a spirit of its own.

This is so wonderful. I have no other words. 8-)

I know that song. One of your best.
I totally love when you write what you want. Always something crazy and interesting. No exception here. Dig the bit about time. It is irrellevent. NG

Trips, the kind I was obsessed with growing up. Those where you didn't have to go anywhere. Sit in front of a television watching cartoons. Head out to the air port and lay on the hill in front of the runaway to watch the planes landing on top of us. Watch the trees at the golf course turn into people, or the head register at the movie house shoot flames, that I finally figured out weren't really there. We share some likes. LOL! Thanks for another fine post. Merry Christmas! :-)

There is the Michael that I have loved from the start.
Very well done from the heart and I loved the different POV's you took to endear this to us.

A very well-written prose on the picture. The river is the provider for human and the fish inside the river. Human has to have patience to catch the fish that is free to be in the river until they are caught.

If a moment has no measure then I'm hard pressed to see how time can be the total sum of all the moments.
For me, time is the vehicle we choose to benchmark particular moments or perhaps punctuate our existence. If we have some form of record of it, then easier to recall the precious memories.

With all that said, this was an interesting write using three different examples of the utilisation of time as such. One completely wastes it in fantasy land, the other makes hay while the sun shines (typical woman haha) and of course the natural force that doesn't give a toss about any obstacle in it's way...all it knows is "onwards"...I won't say this piece is my absolute favourite so far but I appreciate you are stretching yourself with this elasti...oops I mean ekphrakstic form. Well done
Cheers P
