I'm playing catch-up, today.
Mmm, to get his gift your hubby has to decipher clues.
Interesting idea. (But you always seem to come up with fun stuff. And this is definitely fun stuff.)
You have my attention and I'm sure your man's.
Great poem--reads smoothly--tells him what to do.

Hi Ellen, me too... The holiday has been hard on FanStory attention :/ Excuse my late delay in responding. Thanks so much for your wonderful review and rating. It's like being the mother of a newborn all over again! What the hell was I thinking???? :D I appreciate your RR&R very much and am so behind, I hope you'll excuse my late response! Happy New Year!

I spent several years with a family who did a similar thing at Christmas. The gifts were hidden and the clues were to help you find the present. There were four of us so these clues kept everyone busy looking for their presents from the other three.
I am afraid you've lost me on this one though. I have no idea what you got him.

A very well-written Christmas poem and a brilliant idea to give your husband a puzzle gift to solve for Christmas. That seems to be great fun.

Reminds me of my repeating gift ..Every year in box large or small I received a photo of my 8th grade boyfriend...I threw it away...tore it up...but every year it returned...
Interesting concept Mary...

Hello Nika, and Happy New Year. Please excuse my late delay in acknowledging your RR&R. The Christmas season and time with family took me from FS, but that doesn't mean I didn't love your review the moment I read it. I wrote a story with all the clues in a followup post, and then the reveal was yet the final post of the gift :D
You're repeating gift was a hoot! Who kept giving it to you? Parents?
Buck is doing well, and keeping us up all night...what the heck was I thinking?? He is tote adores.
Thank you again, for your time and talent. Happy New Year!

My sister preserved the awful picture...
Happy New Year to you..as well..

A clever idea. And how to drive your hubby crazy. Sounds to me like a CD with all his favorite songs on it. Or maybe several CD's whose titles work together to form another message--one of shared love.
Maybe you just gathered together items that symbolize important turning points in your lives.
Can't wait to find out the answer.

Hello Shari, and Happy New Year. Please excuse my late delay in acknowledging your RR&R. The Christmas season and time with family took me from FS, but that doesn't mean I didn't love your review the moment I read it. I believe you have found the answer in a later post, that I have previously acknowledged, but if not...a golden retriever puppy... :D

I hope it is a dog diarrhea getter outer.
I'm still stuck on what I just read.
AND, if I had to solve a puzzle to get a gift, I'd be giftless. Oh, wait---.

Hello Marla and Happy New Year! Please excuse my late delay in acknowledging your RR&R. The Christmas season and time with family took me from FS, but that doesn't mean I didn't love your review the moment I read it. It was a golden retriever puppy, his favorite breed and our fourth in forty years. I can't remember if you've seen the final post with the video reveal in the Notes, but it's pretty cute.

Oh, Mary, don't keep US in suspense. At least post the list of clues. Can't wait to see how he does and what his reward will be. HURRY, because I need to KNOW! :)

I think you've seen the reveal and I might have acknowledged your review of it already, I am working backwards on acknowledging reviews.

What an interesting Christmas present! I'm most intrigued. I never know what to buy my hubby so I might try something like this in the future.
BTW, who is Brunhilda?
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Maria, thank you so much for your wonderful review. Brunhilda is my snarky inner voice, and appears frequently in my writing. She's a bit of a crank, but always has my best interest at heart :D
Thank you so much for your RR&R! So very appreciated. Happy 2017!
