Hi Mikey, Sometimes I think you are crazy, mate, but in this one I think you are beautiful with the soft soul of an angel. Such beautiful writing is beyond the potlatch, which I haven't figured out yet. hugs, Giddy :))

It's the oddest thing. . .every year when Christmas comes along, I have
this "thing" about remembering Phoebe Cates' character hating Christmas
because her father died on Xmas. It's always stuck with me.

It's a tantalizing final triad Michael! Evoking a prolonged deathbed scenario
where two previously restrained lovers are finally set free to start a new life.
Perhaps even in the death of a truly loved one. . .sometimes a silver lining can
be perceived.

Yes, we will do most anything to assure that friends and loved ones don't die on special days. Maybe we should start killing them the day before? Okay, okay, it's just a joke. Great job. :-)

Happy holidays, Michael;
-what a lovely piece of poetry and I'm not just saying that I really enjoyed your style and always have it's very unique and it just seems to come out is you. Your inflection of the way you write and interject certain innuendos to other lines that are separate from the body make your poetry interesting and most entertaining to read.
-This is like your quotes along with your verses which at a certain specter of entertainment I say that in a negative tone because sometimes you interject that type of feeling but you make it a twist in put a positive end to it.
-I really like your ending where the angel has the last word that is it this is just the beginning and it truly is, and it truly is.
-Thanks for sharing this Michael and take care and have a good one where and when you can find it in your lifetime.
Alex

There is a lot of hype that goes with Christmas that takes away from the true meaning of Christmas. Of course, if you're not a Christian then the meaning is missed completely. good luck with the contest.

A seriously different look at these Christmas prompts. Each one makes its point and all are united by the date. An excellent triptych of triads tripped out for Christmas.

A very well-written set of triads. All about Christmas the season we all seem to be filled with joyful attitudes to celebrate the birth of Jesus in our lives.

This is a lovely trio of Triads mikey about holding on to life so as not to forever spoil future Christmas's for loved ones left behind, and the idea that death just is another beginning. Nice one,
cheers,

This is a beautiful series of S.T.s Mikey, and I just love the ending lines...
The Christmas angel 'top the tree
softly whispers ...
"you are just beginning."

It speaks to that great beginning, death, that takes that person onward...whilst we are left to grieve. It's pretty amazing what you wrote about - the will people have to survive Christmas day, or to wait until someone comes to their bedside. Makes you wonder, just a bit, doesn't it?

Well done! Happy Yuletide!
Carol
