I've never read the Stephen King novel you refer too, but your verse is delightful. Excellent rhyming and tongue-in-cheek humor.

Hm, this guy sounds like trouble to me. Sadly people like this exist is certain parts of the world. They hate everyone, including themselves. They would not be happy even if you paid them to be, they definitely would not be happy if they were ordered to. They do dastardly deeds and even this does not make them happy. Nothing can make them happy they are just miserable all the time. If you run across one keep on running do not engage them in conversation, do not even make eye contact, you will walk away feeling soiled.

A very well-written humorous poem. When life seems to become too serious, we can use some humour to take our minds off for a while and create a smile.

I like the rhyme scheme aaab cccb dddb eeeb. It is a different rhyme sheme but it is flowing. This man seems to be poor but can enjoy life, if he is the clown. Maybe he is there so the town can find its better side and lose its smell.

Comment from Gloria ....
I've always loved your name poems, as they are so unique and always entertaining.
I've read many Stephen King novels, so Pennywise is a familiar and nasty little clown to me.
sewer-cides--HAHA.
Great job, Bill. More please.

I think you were most likely a riot as a teacher!
Your poems are hilarious in a wicked sort of way...
This one matched King from the first stanza...
Funny...

How could I NOT award this six stars, Bill?
Not only is it very well rhymed and more that a little bit creepy, it's a definite nod to the Master of Horror himself, Mr. Stephen King, and his frightening novel, "IT!"
Bravo...

Hi Bill, I haven't read this particular novel of Stephen King, so I can't say that I can follow the poem, which is a shame as you always have a great point to make. Liked it nevertheless, for the play of the words. All the best. Ulla:))
