all men have gold within them sewn."

Well written with great rhymes.
The gold reference is an excellent touch.
All of us have golden nuggets buried within.
Beautiful

I do agree. There's gold in all of us.
Lovely poem as usual, Roy.
And I also like the Jim Carey quotation.
Thanks for sharing.

I had never heard that Jim Carrey quote before - it's great, and your poem carries forth that message wonderfully. In my religious tradition, we talk about "the inviolable sanctity of each human life", a less artistic way of saying that there is a deposit of gold in all of us.

Another wonderful message from the Gospel as channeled through Roy Owen. Thanks

Hi Roy,

Very apt and appropriate for this time of year too. Materialism (gold) rules most men's hearts when hearts of gold should be sought.

Good strong piece

A very well-written poem. All the treasures of the earth will not be enough to find the Kingdom of God. Only heavenly treasures can lead us to the Kingdom.

Jesus Christ as a prospector for human souls rather than gold. This is a really remarkable image in a metaphor. I think it is one of your finest yet that I have seen. The idea itself is brilliant. i like the carrey quote in the artwork too. A great post.

I never knew nor could ever see, just a suggestion

Great poem and well written Roy is e'er written like this for syllabic count Roy
Is it really necessary if you write it like I suggested? just curious as you would be aware in my writes I'm non to fussed about perfect meter and syllabic count I think you can iron those out when one reads aloud one's verse.
just my opinion

I love your notes, always! It's like my miniature Bible study, reading your notes, and occasionally there's even a passage I haven't read (or didn't remember, just 'knew').

Roy, your poetry is always a joy to read, and truly enriches my life.
