A well-written contest entry. Your words flowed and combined easily forming the message of the poem for the reader. I think you met the challenge of the contest well. this seems like a hard form of poetry to write, well done.

Thanks for the encouraging reply. I often write the syllable and rhyme count down, makes it easier. I just wish we could embrace peace around this world. We all want the same things in life, yet we waste money, time and lives fighting. Imagine if the war chest was used on the homeless and creating jobs? sigh, judester

Something we all need! I like the transition from the concept of PEACE as an idea that is elusive and spiritual to placidity which is a real life manifestation of peace by people living out peace by communicating, placating and loving. Great use of this format which is totally new to me.

Peace and love are energies. Like buddha says, we cannot be overwhelmed by the big picture, but we can control the energies we ourselves emit. If everyone began to think and live simple, peaceful, compassionate lives, this energy would spread.I love the forgiveness circle at Standing Rock, Random acts of forgiveness and compassion in our own little worlds is what will make America great again, not Trump. Isn't it amazing the effect a few well-chosen written words can affect the emotions? I'm off to do my Thursday voluntary work in a minute, but I switched on my laptop to quickly catch up, and I read this post. It immediately calmed my body and soul. Just lovely. Thanks for the insightful review.It really is like a vibration that shimmers and ripples. We need to communicate and be more compassionate. Like the people here I see on the street, they look gruff sometimes and I wave at them and this beautiful smile comes across their face, I love to make them smile.

I always greet the muslims in their language (salama a leikum) and they just love me for that. Even for the elderly here, there is a special greeting to show respect, white people (wzungus) rarely use it, but I do. They are so pleased to be shown repect by a foreigner. So simple, but that good feeling spreads. Next time I see them they welcome me like a long lost, loved aunty. love is simplicity. cheers, judester ps I am glad that you volunteer, giving is such a wonderful and healing balm.

A very well-written diamante poem. A great choice on the subject, many of us need to be reminded what peace is about. Check line 2 and 4 there are commas needed between the words listed
