Good connections here..What I got out of it was the Indian nation and the grudges let go. It was not our war but those of our ancestors before us. I think the US has come a long way toward accepting each other as we are.

This poem was written in response to the forgiving circle at Standing Rock. I wish we could continue these randamo acts of compassion. That is what will make America great again. Cheers, j

Thanks for the review Jill. In America right now the big oil company wants to run a pipeline of oil through sacred ground. The American indians have banded together to protect the water. Hundreds of vets came to join them in the fight. Yesterday, the vets asked the American Indians to forgive their Fathers and all the bad things the white man has done to them. It was a very moving ceremony and fills me with joy because this could be the first step to America healing itself. Since 911, Americans have been hurting and in-fighting and getting very aggressive towards one another, especially since Trump won the election. I wish these forgiving circles will continue. This is a wonderful step towards peace, love and clarity. Cheers, j

You've done a great job with the diatelle format. I especially loved how the first arc was negative, but the second arc was positive and full of hope.

The imagery was great and the rhymes flowed well, making this a very nice piece.

Thank you for sharing,

Thanks for the insightful review and sparkly stars. This one wrote itself, seriously. Since Trump has won, people are worried about the future of America. If we can continue these forgiving circles, amazing things can happen. Ripples of peace spreading across the nation. I see this forgiving circle as a crack of light. Peace, love and clarity, judester
