Kudos to you for this amusing (and so true) poem on kids badgering the parents with "why" questions. I like the form you have used, too, with first/last lines and middle two lines rhyming. (A little added humor is the "aside" line between the last two stanzas.) Marilyn

Kids say why so many times it can be frustrating. The only thing worse would be if they never asked why. An excellent contest entry.

An interesting poem about the curiosity of children trying to make sense of their world. You remind me of the story of the child who asked his parents where he came from. As the lengthy biological explanation unfolded, he became more and more confused. "Oh," he said. "My friend Jimmy says he came from Boston."
