Perfect description of a letter to Santa. I like how it starts with a "crooked stamp" and a "smudged address" which leads the imagination to small, uncoordinated hands who posted the letter. Do kids still write Santa? Even my granddaughter says when she sends me snail mail, "I emailed it to you in the mailbox."

Thanks for the review. They are probably e mailing him these days, sigh. I just like the thought of this personal connection with someone so powerful and how they want to be heard, must be heard by him. I was going to do orphans writing, but the 'awww' factor was way too high, cheers, j

Judester,

I know nothing about the Septolet, so I can only speak of the words.

Very adorable with the crooked stamps and smudged addresses...hopeful anticipation.

To Santa.

Sweet and innocent anticipation. Very lovely.

Kelly

Thanks for the review. A septolet is 14 words written in 2 stanzas. I always try new poems.... at least once, cheers, j

A very well-written Septolet. A letter to Santa came a long way. It is smudged and the stamp is crooked. But the writer will wait in anticipation.

Thanks for the review. I think letters to Santa are so cute, little kids believing in him and writing their letters so carefully, cheers, j
