A very good sentiment. My wife and I met a woman from the Philippines. I asked if her kids were ready for Santa. She said, "In the Philippines, we don't know about Santa. It's all about Jesus."

Patty, a very nice writing about Christmas. I do think people like
watching movies with a theme of love and of course, Christmas
does bring out thoughts of love more. Christ coming to earth is
the ultimate gift of love.

It's also a season of giving and not only presents but of one's self. Unselfish love that warms the heart and brings out the best in everyone. That is what Christ showed us when he died on that cross. Marry Christmas! Nancy

I love in Florida going on 20 years next July. I love Christmas time. The season especially. For me, the temp drops a bit. Not enough, but some. Putting up lights and your sweating in shorts isn't as pleasant as it sounds. LOL. I miss the snow. In NY it rarely snowed on Christmas, but many times there would be snow on the ground. The fireplace, the friends popping in just because. There is non of that here. I love the decorations and the movies, and the music. Drives my hubby nuts. (The music) I mean. I too love Christmas movies.

I was a professional Santa for 51 years. Only retired three years ago. But I never missed a year, I did as many as eight jobs a day during the season. In fact I have a book in my poprtfolio called "Santa's Diary" in which I relate some of my many experiences playing Santa.

Thank you for your time to read and review. WOW - a professional Santa - I met one of those about 6 years ago. He spent his 'Santa' time working on the military bases in Europe. His day job was in Civil Service, but he told me he loved being Santa so much more. He had this beautiful Santa suit, and he wore combat boots. Meeting him was one of the highlights of my visit to Ramstein AFB back in 2010.
Thank YOU for your service as a Santa -- the world needs the message of hope he brings!

Yes, as a matter of fact I spent 8 years on active duty in the Marines and did my first Santa job for toys for Tots. continued after I got out in 1964. :) Thanks Patty.
