I love your family gatherings, Shari, and of course, Jeff's apparent megalomania stirs things up nicely.

Here are a few minor nits:

At least, that 's my theory. [Vagrant space in 'THAT'S']

held a good sized camera in her hand. [held a GOOD-SIZED camera...]

Good noun to describe Jeff. Thanks for addressing the nits.

Interesting interview. My favorite part was your inner comments to yourself because your humor shows.
Suggestions:
Dad['s] has a picture in his mind -Delete 's
comedienne - that's how a female comedian used to be referred to, but perhaps today it can be comedian for male or female
I enjoyed reading this chapter.

You may be right about comedienne. I took a chance and you are and changed it. LOL Also fixed Dad.
Appreciate so much the exceptional rating and comments on my humor

Hey Shari! Another good chapter. I was surprised about the filming of an interview. You're braver than I am. I don't do well with cameras. I'm glad to read two chapters in a row (or was it three?) that were happy and easy going. If I remember correctly, at the end of the last chapter you were going to talk to Chris about why Nichole wouldn't sit in the back seat of the car. Don't keep me in suspense - I need to know what was going on! :o) Excellent job with this, Shari.

I'm not photogenic at all. Guess Jeff has videotaped the time I love my purse in Catalina Islands and also the time we both borrowed a type of wheelchair to explore the L.A. zoo. He never showed them to us but did put them on his facebook. I just found this out and it's like five years ago so there's no way I can find them. He showed the one where I lost my purse to Joanne and Chris along with his commentary. They said it was hysterical--in a good way, I hope.
I talked to Chris about how her Dad thought she turned into a snob. I talked to my best friend about the back seat. She said not to be offended. She's the same way.
Thanks the lovely green neon plus.

Hi, Shari

= Kids--they can suck the life right out of you.
= If I could do it again---NO kids--since I'm 2 for 2, out in the cold.
= Interesting how our kids change so much when they meet someone, and then let them into their world--becomes your world as well.
= Good comeback line you thought of after the fact.

Oh dear! For all the pain, Nichole cost me, I wouldn't trade or Chris and the memories we have for any amount of gold. I do feel fortunate that both offspring ended up with excellent jobs. I wish Nichole lived closer, married someone I liked, and had a couple of children. But Chris is close by and so loveable. His 13 year old son just won second place in the Beta contest for all of Florida's top middle grade students. He participated in Language Arts.

I thought the idea of an interview sounded rather weird, but I guess that's Jeff. I found the expression your son used to describe you and Nicole interesting. "Parental unit"--sounds like something from "Star Trek." Jeff seemed a bit insensitive with his questioning of Frank. Maybe there's hope for Jeff. Nicole says he's becoming more introverted, as in less likely to wear a lampshade on his head, I suppose. He surely would have hit it off with Phyllis Diller. Very insightful, and a unique look at a family. judi

Thanks for the exceptional review, judi. I suspect Nichole laid it on the line. Straighten up or I'm out of here. LOL

LOL, this is another delightful chapter in your book, Shari. The fun barbs and digs would make a terrific TV show. Uh oh? Did I say that out loud? It sounds like everyone is quite interested in each other, so that's great news. :))

One typo:

Just how much has Jeff chamged? (changed)

You have a beautiful daughter by the way.

Thanks for catching the typo, Gloria and the compliment on my daughter. The next chapter brings up a sore point, unfortunately. Funny, how we remember the bad stuff of what we think is the bad stuff.

Nice work on this part. I enjoyed your inner dialogue during the interview with Jeff. I can't wait to hear about the first time you met Jeff.

We've had breakfast and are leaving the hotel now. Just wanted to make sure you were up."--Just need opening speech marks here.

Take care,

Oh boy, here it comes. A blast from the past.
Just when things were going so well and you were being so tactful.
Jeff is still annoying. He shouldn't have said what he did about Frank repeating himself. Inappropriate.

I enjoyed this one. It seems Jeff still has a bit of his 'buffoon' personality, but your daughter clearly has their relationship under control. She knows his faults and is able to work around them quite nicely. My son-in-law hates me and took every advantage to remind me of it. Nice work with this one. I cannot wait to find out what took place the first time ou met Jeff.

Hard to make a silk purse out of a cow's ear. LOL
Nichole makes the big bucks which gives her a lot of leverage.
I feel sorry for those who can't get rid of hostile feelings. It's more of a burden on them than it is on you.
    Wracking up bad karma!

Shari, this was a fun read. I enjoyed it a lot. Jeff and the interview was charming.
Nicole it seems in your mind is a birt snooty, but she seems to love Jeff and Jeff loves her. Patricia

No, my husband thought she was snooty, not me. As long as they love each other, that's the important thing, right?
